"My approach to art is raw and intuitive, each mark relying on a feeling and eternalizing it in mediums, bridging the gap from brain to the heart to ultimately make us feel connected to our spirit. It's a faith based approach - hoping it all translates into the surface and that it somehow brings resolve, peace and hope in the midst of the chaos."
Thai Mainhard is a Brazilian-Italian artist living in Southern California. She has been painting since she was 10 years old and her abstract works now reflect all those years of experience. She has sold paintings to multiple collectors around the world to countries like Australia, Germany, England, Taiwan, South Africa, Switzerland, Singapore and many others. She has an intuitive way of painting and expressionism in the core of her works. "I capture moments. The feelings and emotion of them to be specific. A painting is never planned but rather an automatic response to an experience happening at the moment or made in memory of. It's like sketching life, photographing feelings - a visual journal right in front of people's eyes, because I believe they need to be shared. These pieces are an expression of my life but it might as well be of yours too. I don't make these paintings for myself. I believe they are my ministry to the world and what I paint out of my own experience can be exactly what you need to see. I hope you can find yourself in them the same way that I do."
